Real people. A brilliant day. And photographs that let you remember what it all actually felt like.

Wedding Photos at The Queens Hotel Portsmouth

These wedding photos at The Queens Hotel in Portsmouth are stunning! Having planned their wedding whilst living in the US whilst raising their 1 year old, Maddison and Mason did an incredible job. As an American couple, they wanted to tie the knot in Portsmouth as Maddison's parents hail from the area.

Getting Ready in Portsmouth for Their Wedding Day

Maddison and Mason started their day in different parts of the city, but both were surrounded by close family and friends. Maddison, along with her bridesmaids and mom, prepared for the big day at The Queens Hotel. Maddison and her bridal party got ready in the bridal suite, which had gorgeous views and plenty of room for everyone to get ready.

Meanwhile, Mason and his groomsmen gathered at an AirBNB a short walk from the hotel. Though Mason opted to drive over in a family member's vintage car.

Wedding Ceremony at The Queens Hotel Portsmouth

The wedding ceremony took place in the Elizabeth Room at The Queens Hotel Portsmouth. The elegant, classic atmosphere of the room matched their sophisticated style. I love how gorgeous this room it's gold details and chandeliers. The big windows with a costal view are a plus too.

Maddison and Mason had a gorgeous ceremony, which was officiated by her uncle. There were lots of tears and their little boy was such a character throughout.

Portraits in Lobby at The Queens Hotel

After the ceremony and having a few drinks in the garden, we headed into the stunning lobby of The Queens Hotel for some portraits. The hotel’s elegant interior, with its opulent decor, provided the perfect setting for these photographs. We had originally planned to do photographs outside, but there was a large marquee giving little space outside to use. But we couldn't complain as the lobby was incredible space to use! As far as wedding photos at The Queens Hotel Portsmouth go, these ones really show what makes this venue so incredible.

Wedding Breakfast at The Queens Hotel

Following portraits, it was time to enjoy a delicious wedding breakfast at The Queens Hotel. The Elizabeth Room was filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt speeches. Maddison and Mason’s friends and family shared personal stories, offered toasts, and celebrated the couple’s love in the most heartwarming way. There were so many tears from everyone. Their son’s playful antics brought a sense of joy and lightness to the entire atmosphere, making it even more special.

Wedding Portraits in Portsmouth

After the wedding breakfast, we took a short stroll toward Portsmouth Naval Memorial. We made the most of the last of the light for about 15 minutes -- and let me just say -- these two delivered!

Thankfully Maddison's father joined us for a few photographs so their little boy could join us for a bit. He was definitely tired but we just had a little play and got a s many cute photographs of him squirming and running around. To say their boy is a runner might even be an understatement.

Reception at The Queens Hotel

The evening concluded with a lively and fun-filled reception at The Queens Hotel in the Elizabeth Room. The couple’s first dance was a touching moment followed by special dances with their parents. And I think there were tears for every dance. Soon after, everyone joined in to celebrate on the dance floor. There were so many moments to photograph: laughter, dancing, and plenty of joy as Maddison and Mason danced the night away with their family and friends.
