WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY THAT STILL LETS YOU HAVE A WEDDING
Beautiful photographs. Very little time away from the people you came to celebrate with.
I photograph weddings for people who want both: portraits they’ll genuinely want to frame and a gallery full of the reactions, relationships and tiny bits of chaos that made the day theirs. I’ll guide when it helps, organise when it saves you time and get out of the way when the moment already has everything it needs.
You make some photographs. You find the rest.

THE TWO OF YOU
You do not need to be good at being photographed.
I’d much rather give you something to react to.
Most of my couples are not people who spend their lives in front of a camera. You’ll get enough direction that you never have to wonder what to do, then enough space for the photographs to actually feel like the two of you.
If you want ten focused minutes and back to the party, we can do that. If portraits are one of the things you’re most excited about, we’ll make room for them.
Change the energy of the moment, and the photographs change with it.
THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU
I want to know who matters before I meet them.
By the time I arrive, I want the names and relationships around you to mean something to me. It helps me spot the reactions worth turning around for, move through family photographs faster and understand why an apparently tiny moment might matter enormously.
They feel like your people. Because to me, they’re an extension of you.

HOW THE DAY FEELS MATTERS
Happy people make for happy photographs.
I’m not there to run your wedding. I am there to look after you. Most of the day I blend in; if the timeline slips, a group needs rallying or something small is threatening to become the only thing you can think about, I’ll step in.
Happy people make for happy photographs.
Then, once you don’t need me, I disappear again. The best version of this job is being useful without making the photography feel like the point of the wedding.
The goal isn’t to control your wedding. It’s to protect the feeling of it.
KIND WORDS
“Kelsie captured my daughter’s wedding so perfectly, with photographs so stunning, that they instantly bring me back to the day and fill me with emotion. Honestly I have seen some gorgeous wedding photos throughout my life but none come even close to the raw emotion that Kelsie’s photos manage to capture.”

MEET KELSIE
A Brighton photographer with people at the heart of everything.
I’ve been photographing weddings for more than fifteen years, and a huge part of what I love about the job is people.
I like knowing the names, the relationships, the personalities and the things that matter before I walk into the room. I’m happy to take charge when it’s useful, create energy when it helps and fade quietly into the background when the moment already has everything it needs.

NOT ONLY WEDDINGS
There are other stories worth photographing too.
Proposals
The question lasts seconds. The story around it deserves more than a phone camera.
Families
The version of your family that exists right now won’t stay this way for long.
Branding + commercial
Personal branding, editorial and commercial commissions, including regular work with Gala Magazine.
SUSSEX + BEYOND
A Sussex wedding photographer, wherever the wedding takes me.
I’m based just outside Brighton and photograph weddings throughout East and West Sussex, across the UK and further afield.
From manor houses and country gardens to marquee weddings and celebrations in the middle of London, I care far more about the people and the atmosphere than fitting a wedding into one particular mould.
WEDDINGS ACROSS SUSSEX
A little local inspiration.
Real weddings, venues I know well and useful places to start if you’re planning a celebration in Sussex.

Findon Place weddings
A West Sussex manor house, beautiful gardens and wedding weekends that never feel rushed.

Firle Place wedding photography
Historic East Sussex, incredible light and a venue that somehow manages to feel both grand and intimate.

Lewes wedding photographer
Castle ceremonies, town-centre celebrations, South Downs views and some of my favourite Sussex wedding venues.
Tell me what you’re dreaming up.
You don’t need to have every detail figured out. Pick the kind of photography you’re looking for and start there.

What are we planning?
Wedding
I want to know more than your date and venue.
Start with the practical bits, then give me the good stuff.
What are you most excited about? Who are the people I need to know about? Are photographs one of the things you’ve been dreaming about, or is one of you already insisting you hate having your picture taken?
There are no right answers here. The more personality you give me, the easier it is for me to get a feel for the two of you before we’ve even spoken.
Already checked the pricing? Amazing. If not, take a look at my wedding collections before you submit.
Proposal
Okay, tell me the plan.
Or let me help you make one.
Where are you thinking? When are you hoping to ask? And how much of this have you actually figured out so far?
If the answer is not much, genuinely don’t worry. I photograph proposals regularly and can help with location, timing, light and how to make the whole thing happen without giving the game away.
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly formed plan. That’s part of what I’m here for.
Family
Tell me about your people.
Who am I photographing, how old are the littlest members of the gang, and what would make these photographs feel like you?
You don’t need perfectly behaved children or matching outfits. In fact, I’d much rather know what they’re actually like.
Tell me the personalities, the dynamics and anything that will help me photograph your family as they really are.
Something else
None of the above?
I’m listening.
Tell me what you have in mind. If it sounds like something I can help with, I’ll let you know. If it isn’t quite my thing, I’d still rather you ask than wonder.
