This Sussex Manor House wedding photography is the definition of stunning. When it comes to wedding venues, few locations can match the grandeur and charm of a Sussex manor house. And as far as stately homes go, Findon Place is truly something else.
Nestled in the heart of the countryside, this historic country estate offers the perfect backdrop for a timeless celebration. As a recommended wedding photographer at Findon Place, I had the privilege of documenting Gaby and Tom's gorgeous wedding day.
After photographing an absolutely incredible beach engagement shoot of these two, I was so excited for their wedding.
Groom Getting Ready at Findon Manor
For the groom, the morning of the wedding began at Findon Manor. This place is a a stunning historic manor known for its elegant architecture and tranquil surroundings. Tom wanted a few photographs with his guys in the calm of the morning so that there would be more time to enjoy the drinks reception. So met them in the garden behind the hotel.
Bride Getting Ready at Findon Place
Just a short distance from Findon Manor, the bride’s preparations took place at Findon Place. This stately home is the definitely of class, with its majestic rooms and light-filled windows. The bride and her bridal party were all smiles and I was over the moon to see the girls had set out a gorgeous flatlay for me on my arrival!
As a wedding photographer, I love capturing the little details—whether it’s the shoes, the bride slipping into her gown, or sharing a heartfelt moment with her parents. The space at Findon Place is the ideal setting for these candid moments, with its elegant décor and romantic atmosphere.
This wedding had one of my favourite first looks with her dad. He mentioned he'd really love to do this at the bottom of the staircase like in the movies, and was just so overcome with emotion.
Church Next Door to Manor House Wedding Venue
One of the most delightful aspects of this Sussex manor house wedding venue, is the proximity to charming local church. The church, with its timeless stone walls and intricate stained-glass windows, provided the perfect place for a romantic and heartfelt ceremony. The beauty of the church’s interior offered a gorgeous contrast to the grandeur of the manor houses, creating stunning wedding photos that will be cherished forever.
As a wedding photographer, I especially love the floral archway Sage & Co created outside the church. This floral archway then moved to the wedding venue and was just stunning!
Garden Drinks Reception at Sussex Stately Home
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a beautiful drinks reception in the gardens of Findon Place by the swimming pool. Surrounded by rolling lawns and lush greenery, the garden reception offered a perfect blend of elegance and natural beauty. Guests mingled, enjoyed cocktails, and shared in the joy of the newlyweds. As a Sussex manor house wedding photographer, I love capturing the energy of these moments. The soft afternoon sunlight, combined with the scenic surroundings, made for stunning portraits and candid shots of the couple and their guests.
But before the bridal party headed down to the garden, we took a few photographs in front of the grand manor house.
Wedding Breakfast in Ballroom at Findon Place
G+T decided to use the stunning ballroom at Findon Place for their wedding breakfast. The ballroom, with its high ceilings and polished wooden floors and walls was all charm. It was the perfect space for the wedding breakfast, where guests gathered to celebrate the newlyweds in style. The dining tables were beautifully adorned with floral arrangements, candles, and fine china, creating an atmosphere of warmth and elegance.
As a wedding photographer, the ballroom provided the perfect backdrop and atmosphere to capture the day.
Couple Wedding Photography at Findon Place
After the wedding breakfast, it was time to steal the couple away while guests finished up their dessert. Findon Place provided a stunning backdrop for couples’ portraits.
As a wedding photographer, this is one of my favourite parts of the day. These photos are more than just pictures—they’re timeless memories that transport the couple back to this special moment every time they look at them.
Evening Festivities at Stately Manor House in Sussex
As evening approached, the festivities continued in the grand ballroom of Findon Place. The stately manor house came alive with energy and laughter as guests danced and celebrated the newlyweds. The first dance was a magical moment, with the couple surrounded by their loved ones and bathed in the soft glow of chandeliers.
