Slindon House wasn’t even booked yet when M+B approached me about photographing their special day – but it was on their list.
Once I mentioned there are llamas and donkeys on the grounds, these two couldn’t have booked their wedding at Slindon House any faster!
M is the biggest animal lover. So that fact combined with their vision for a fairytale wedding, Slindon House was the perfect choice.
As a recommended photographer at Slindon House, it was a joy to return to this wedding venue.
M+B’s Slindon House Wedding
M looked like she was on a cloud all day. My heart honestly couldn’t handle how perfect her wedding dress flowed and moved. But above all, it was her smile. She was marrying her best friend. The guy who wooed her at the pub on karaoke night. She was out with her parents and sister, so to say B was brave is an understatement!
But everyone who knows them can see why he took his chance. Went to the stage and attempted to woo her with his impressive singing capabilities. Rumour has it, it wasn’t that impressive, but somehow here we are on their wedding day!
Getting Ready for Their Wedding
M got ready at her family home surrounded by her favourite people. M asked me to arrive just as she was finishing up and about to get into her dress as she didn’t want loads of pictures in the morning. But she did want those iconic photographs of her getting her dress. And while she wasn’t expecting a big first look reaction from her dad, she got one!
Wedding Ceremony at Slindon House
M+B had their wedding reception and ceremony at Slindon House. And despite the blue skies when I arrived, the strong winds quickly brought in the rains!
The ceremony was also a bit delayed as M and her dad had to turn back! He’d forgot his speech! I think B was a bit relieved that was the reason, and it wasn’t nerves. As you can see, M was full of smiles when they arrived!
Drinks Reception at Country House Wedding Venue
Because of the delay in the morning with dad loosing his speech, we quickly took a few photographs with the hire care before they had to leave. And with big storm clouds looming on the horizon, we went straight into family and group portraits.
And because the weather wasn’t looking too promising for the evening, we did a few more couple portraits as well. Thankfully things did clear up in the evening though and we were able to take more wedding photographs! Which M+B were so happy about – they really wanted lots of beautiful photographs of themselves to remember the day.
Wedding Breakfast Decor at Slindon House
Whilst B went to the bar to grab them a drink, M and I decided it was the perfect chance to take a few photographs of the gorgeous decor. M+B’s wedding breakfast decor was lots of rich, deep greens and it all looked so stunning!
Wedding Couple Photography at Slindon House
When I noticed their was a break in the rain and M+B had finished their desert, we decided it was the best time to sneak away for photographs.
And first up was a visit to the donkeys! We had a good laugh that the little white one kept sticking his tongue out. I’m assuming he was waiting for his promised carrots.
We then cut through the gardens on our way to see the llamas, and so took a few more there as it was a lovely shelter from the intense winds!
After seeing the llamas, we headed back to the wedding venue and the sun came out! So of course M+B had a little moment enjoying the weather.
And then when M’s maid of honour came outside, we decided they needed their own special photoshoot. M bought her dress specifically because she loved how it looked when she ran. So after a quick demonstration for her best friend, we went running around the grounds for a bit.
Slindon House Wedding Reception
M+B are a suckers for romance, so instead of the usual party vibes, these two blasted the likes of Ed Sheeran and Micheal Bubble.
Till next time,
