This proposal at Beachy Head was one of the sweetest proposal to ever happen. They both had all the emotions, and I shed a tear too! Andrew wanted everything to be 100% perfect for Jeyama. And she had one request: he HAD to hire a photographer! So I knew my challenge early on would be stealth! Because of their Hindu religion and need to propose at an auspicious time, Jeyama would be on high alert.
Andrew and I discussed several of my recommended proposal locations near Brighton. He ultimately decided Beachy Head would be the perfect spot because of the stunning views and romantic walk towards the lighthouse. A few days before, we met at the location to ensure we had the perfect spot and run through the plan. We agreed Andrew would take Jeyama for an adventure around Eastbourne and stop at Beachy Head on the way home. It gave the perfect excuse for her to dress up – something I always recommend ensuring! Us ladies want to look our best when we get engaged!
Beachy Head proposal with Brighton Photographer
To ensure Jeyama never spotted me, I arrived early and found an unsuspecting location to await their arrival. I then followed behind with my camera tucked under a jacket. I took a few photographs when I was confident Jeyama wasn’t looking.
After Andrew proposed, Jeyama sharedshe had suspected someone who walked by with a big camera as a hired photographer and he might propose then and there. When the proposal didn’t happen, she about gave up it would be on this auspicious day and she’d have to keep waiting! I was delighted to successfully keep Jeyama on her toes and Andrew’s surprise under wraps.
Andrew and I had arranged earlier that after the proposal, we would do some engagement photography of the two of them. So once they were ready, Andrew waved me over for a really fun engagement session.
