A pet photographer in Brighton. Is there any better way to spend a day than capturing beloved pets? It is always such a huge honour. Especially when it comes to our first fur-babies.

L+C reached out when they got word their Hugo was terminal. Their little girl said she wanted lots of pictures and to have one in her room of her boy.

It hit me hard. Not only because I’d just lost my own dog a few weeks prior, but also because I’ve known this family for years.

I met them in NCT when L was pregnant with their daughter. So these photos, they are for her. To remember her good boy, forever and always.

I did some editing to hid his shaved fur, so they could remember him not as he was at the end. But who was. Who he really was.

Thankfully a round of steroid treatments gave him his energy back and he was able to last to early January. So many more precious weeks with him waging his tail and loving his family.

We headed to a beautiful wooded area in Hove for these photographs – a place L used to walk him loads when he was a puppy.

It was there they entrusted my pet photographer skills to capture their family and some beautiful moments of Hugo.
