Newland Hall Wedding venue was the perfect place for R+W’s wedding. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight during their ceremony. Honestly their love is something else. I’ve never met two people so alike. From their sense of style, to interests and humour. It was clear to all these two had find their person.
I had the honour of photographing their engagement proposal in Brighton. And seeing that promise come to fruit0n at Newland Hall Wedding Venue in Essex was incredibly special. For their proposal I reached out to Tania Russell Weddings to set up a little picnic proposal. And it was such a delight that she also joined me at this wedding. She helped them find the perfect venue for their day and coordinated everything so well!
These two had a late evening wedding ceremony, so I was only there for about 4 hours. But’s incredible what all we captured!
Getting ready at Newland Hall Wedding Venue
The wedding couple got ready together, which I think is such a special way to spend the morning. They both wore matching suits: W rocking velvet blue and R in velvet red. And they both had cufflinks with photographs of their dads.
We had a few minutes before the ceremony began, so we snuck into the bar area for some couple portraits and had a good laugh.
Newland Hall Ceremony
R+W had an outdoor ceremony at Newland Hall under the gazebo. In keeping with their suits, their floral decor was the same bold colours.
This ceremony was absolutely incredible with the very talented Proud Fox Ceremonies ordaining the marriage. Proud Fox Ceremonies created a completely unique ceremony for these two. And everyone was either laughing and crying at any given moment.
R+W are the kind of people who wear their heart on their sleeves, so both were beaming and crying as soon as they saw everyone. The wedding couple walked down the aisle together – making the moment extra special.
R+W also did The Quaich Ceremony during their vows. This is a scottish ceremony tradition in which the Quaich is referred to as “The Love Cup”. The Quaich is filled with a favourite drink – such as whisky – and the couple each drink from the cup.
Directly after the ceremony, the couple did the confetti toss in front of Newland Hall wedding venue.
Drinks Reception and Portraits
Directly after the ceremony, R+W wanted to sneak away for some couple portraits and give their families and friends time to eat some canapés. But it wasn’t more than 15 minutes before their friends came looking for them and we jumped into doing group portraits in front of Newland Hall wedding venue.
Proud Fox Ceremonies Wedding Reception Entertainment
R+W wanted a party more than anything. To skip the formal dining and just dance and laugh the night away. So whilst guests moved about, catering continued to bring out canapé style dining.
Proud Fox Ceremonies did a few numbers while we waited for the band (got stuck in traffic!) – and did an amazing job at keeping everyone entertained.
Till next time,
