V + M are from two completely different worlds. She’s from Belarus, and he’s from England. They met by chance on a cruise ship. He was the doctor on board and successfully wooed her with his charm and kind heart. After getting engaged in Abu Dhabi, their Baddow Park wedding was a perfect celebration that was filled with laughter, singing and dancing – so much dancing!
Baddow Park wedding in Essex
V + M wanted to truly bring their families together and celebrate both of their heritages. They wanted their wedding to be a perfect blend that represented both V’sBelarusian heritage and M’s Asian culture.
It was important that V’s parents were included in the day. They took great care to interpret everything for V’s parents, and though their was a language barrier for many of V’s friends and family, the Hindu wedding ceremony was the perfect way to bring the families together. Family and friends play a really important role in Hindu ceremonies, and it was beautiful to see how the ceremony put everyone at ease.
V + M had two stunning outfits for the day. V had a traditional white dress, which was from Belarus for the legal ceremony, and her dress for the Hindu wedding ceremony was a beautiful bold red and gold. Their Hindu ceremony at Baddow Park followed their legal ceremony Bromley Public Hall in which guests were transported to the countryside via double decker buses.
It was an honour to photograph this Baddow Park wedding and Hindu religious ceremony alongside fellow wedding photographer Helen Cawte.
Till the next wedding bells ring,
