As an LGBT wedding photographer in Kent, I love the kind of love that sees the beauty within other people. And that’s exactly the kind of love that S+T possess.
I first met S+T when S reached out to have me photograph their engagement proposal at Brighton Pier. And I couldn’t help but admire them both and their commitment to one another. Though S’s health conditions were known prior to them getting serious, they both have such unwavering support for each other despite S now relying on a wheelchair full time. Whilst T helps S physically (and obviously emotionally), it is so clear that S has the biggest heart and is such a source of comfort for T. They both dote on another and are each other’s biggest source of comfort.
Getting ready at Hillside AirBNB
S+T got ready at this incredible new AirBNB called Hillside. And it was honestly just such a beautiful spot to get ready. Plus it was dog friendly, so S’s family dog was there to enjoy the morning too! This LGBT wedding photographer was feeling very spoilt for beautiful spots to take photographs. I’d only just wished they’d booked me to arrive earlier!
I absolutely loved that these two got ready together and enjoyed the morning surrounded by their friends and S’s family.
Ceremony at The Plough at Leigh Wedding Venue
S+T arrived at The Plough at Leigh together, and walked down the aisle together – hand in hand. A beautiful sofa was positioned at the front so S could be out of her wheelchair for a bit and T could sit comfortably beside her.
After their personalised vows were exchanged, The Big Smoke Brass Band partied down the aisle and escorted the happy couple into the pub’s gorgeous beer garden.
Portraits with LGBT Wedding Photographer in Kent
After the indoor ceremony in the wedding barn at The Plough at Leigh, the couple requested a few portraits in the gardens whilst the room was prepped for their wedding breakfast.
The couple had 4 PM ceremony to ensure S didn’t overtax herself, so these were done really quickly before the sunset at around 5 PM.
Wedding Breakfast at The Plough at Leigh in Kent
After the ceremony, the barn at The Plough at Leigh was quickly changed around for the wedding breakfast. And it looked absolutely stunning! S+T planned a beautiful autumnal wedding theme if you ask me! I especially loved the simplicity but delicate beauty of their cake.
The Plough at Leigh Reception with LGBT Wedding Photographer
The Big Smoke Brass returned to play some great songs and entertain guests. I absolutely loved the string lighting at The Plough at Leigh for this. The “Saint” photograph at the end still cracks me up.
Till next time,
