Leonardslee Gardens wedding photography is something I can’t wait to experience first hand. This gorgeous country estate wedding venue in Horsham has been meticulously restored over the last two years.
It is a massive honour that I was invited onto the garden estate to document this little piece of paradise. In this blog post you can come have a look inside Leonardslee Gardens with me, but promise me you’ll go and see for yourself!

First, let’s start with Leonardslee House. This is a stunning country estate wedding venue in Horsham and every inch of it is incredible. The country estate house has several ground floor dining rooms and an outside patio with beautiful views of the gardens and rolling hills (and the wallaby enclosure is just next door!). The decor is modern sophistication in every sense of the word and beautifully blends old and new.

Leonardslee House is also home to Restaurant Interlude, which offers fine-dining at it’s – well – finest. Taking you through a 14 or 19-course taste bud experience, I can’t help but think how perfect this Horsham restaurant is for a proposal or to celebrate wedding anniversaries for years to come. Leonardslee House also serves afternoon tea and has its own collection of tea and teacups to make for a really unique wedding gift. And that’s not even going into everything Leonardslee Gardens shop offers! I’m a sucker for the sentimental, and Leonardslee Gardens offers such a beautiful range of potential gifts for a couple to gift one another or for guests to give to the happy couple. While probably not a deciding factor when booking a wedding venue, I think it is the icing on the cake.

Now let’s talk about the gardens of this 240-acre estate. To say these Grade I listed gardens are expansive, might actually be an understatement. First planted in 1801, the gardens, parkland lawns and forest areas are really something to see. With azaleas, camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons, and bluebells, there is an abundance of floral at every turn, and much to my delight, a lot of fauna as well. In particular there are rare Bennett Wallabies and a few different species of deer. The wallabies were introduced to the estate in 1889, and the small colony is about as adorable as it gets.
As far as wedding venues go, I’ve never seen a garden like Leonardslee Gardens. Just have a look of a few of the photographs of the estate’s gardens below!

There really is no wonder in my mind that Leonardslee Gardens is the ‘finest Spring gardens in England’. I honestly can’t imagine a prettier, more peaceful place. Leonardslee Gardens is perfect for a wedding, and considering the last visitors can enter the estate at 4:30 during peak season and 2:30 during off-peak, you pretty much have the entire 240 acres to yourselves in the evening!
Leonardslee House is such a sleek and sophisticated wedding venue, and I loved being able to photograph the event space. To say I’d be excited to photograph an actual wedding here would be an understatement.
