This Holywell Beach engagement proposal was photographed in heavy fog and rain. Proving terrible weather has nothing on love - because these photographs are stunning!
We'd talked about changing dates earlier that morning due to weather, but Cambria's partner got suspicious. She said to her, "If you're going to propose today, I honestly can't wait. You have to do it today!"
Cambria had originally booked to propose at Beachy Head, but you couldn't see more than 2 feet in front of you. Thankfully I'd had a similar situation in the past and this spot avoided the worst of the fog. So we took a chance and headed to Holywell in Eastbourne. It's about 5 minutes from Beachy Head, so the last minute change of plans worked out fine.
Some couples just know each other way too well and can't keep secrets. And I'm honestly here for it. They were both so happy and all smiles despite the weather!

Ranked as the best proposal photographer in Sussex, I've come to enjoy a rainy day proposal. Though I've always encouraged couples to rebook, I've had a few go ahead for various reasons. And each time the photographs have turned out to be my all times favs!
Perhaps I'm a sucker for the kind of romance that embodies that rain scene from The Notebook. Is it just me? I just think there is something about kissing and laughing in the rain. It makes my heart happy though.
I will be honest though, going into this proposal, I was certain the photographs weren't going to be my best work. The fog was SO thick. Thankfully this little part of the beach by the sea was fairly free of the dense fog.
