Being a Haywards Heath newborn photographer has some real perks! At just 27 hours old, I got to hold baby H and celebrate the joy in her arrival with her parents at Princess Royal Hospital.  Little H has a full, gorgeous head of hair and looks so much like her mum, Laura.

This was my first time back on the Bolney Ward at Princess Royal Hospital after having my own little boy – and Baby H’s future BFF. Because if you didn’t already know, Baby H’s mum is a dear friend of mine. We’ve been talking about being mum’s together for what feels like ages and can’t wait for our little minis to get up to all kinds of mayhem.

It is a massive honour that Laura invited me into these early hours of Baby H’s life to capture these moments for her, her husband and family. A moment that in all honesty felt very long overdue for everyone involved – probably because it was! Baby H was 10 days late and a breech baby at that. Stubborn at birth may be a defining characteristic of this wee girl if she’s anything like her mum and dad.
