Jordan and Cole wanted their friends and family to really experience Italy – making the Fossa Mala wedding venue the perfect backdrop for their day. They wanted their guests to taste the best of Italy and drink their fill of wine – as you may recall after my last blog post on this destination wedding, we were after all, in wine country.
It’s crazy to think how much time has past since I was surrounded by Jordan and Cole’s amazing family. I often get complimented on how well I put guests at ease and feel like a part of the family, and this wedding definitely had me feeling 100% at home. Not only was the region in Italy where I went to visit one of my best friends over several years, it was also a wedding full of lots of crazy midwestern Americans.
Fossa Mala wedding – the Italian way!
After an incredible day taking in our fill of Prosecco, Jordan and her closest friends, beloved pooch, and mother rose early to help her get ready. Jordan donned a dress from a local boutique with a jaw-dropping back, and once she was ready, she met Cole in the vineyard for a cheeky first look. He looked just as incredible in his black tux, and I think even my camera swooned when they saw each other for the first time.
These two young lovers have a real raw and beautiful love. They are fiery, spirited and fun-loving souls. Having met in high school and eloping a few years later after falling in love, it was a joy to see their friends and family really experience the two of them as a couple, as well as their way of life in Italy.
The wedding ceremony was emotional to say the least. It all kicked off with Jordan coming down the aisle in a classic Bugatti car. The hysterical laughs of such an entrance quickly turned to cries bordering on hysteria. Seeing Cole get so welled up watching Jordan come down the aisle with her father was the most emotional reaction I’ve experienced to date. And that my friends, pretty much sums up the day: a lot of laughs and a lot of tears!
It was a real joy to photograph Jordan and Cole’s Fossa Mala wedding, and to have my fill of a ten (yes TEN!) course meal. Their wedding was one in which my heart and stomach were truly full!
Their wasn’t a dry eye in sight at this Fossa Mala wedding, and I could not feel more honoured to have documented this wedding for such an incredible couple. Thank you Jordan + Cole for the incredible memories.
Till the next glasses of wine clink,
