REAL WEDDING

Cowdray Ruins Wedding | Midhurst Wedding Photographer | T+M

Real people. A brilliant day. And photographs that let you remember what it all actually felt like.

Cowdray Ruins Wedding | Midhurst Wedding Photographer | T+M

The Cowdray ruins wedding photography Tasha, Mark and I created together was just so unreal! For two people who just wanted one good photograph, I had to apologise after that they were spoilt for choice. Thankful all they had was gratitude in their hearts.

I wanted to take my time to write this review as I really wanted to do Kelsie full justice for her incredible work, but I quickly realised how hard it is to put into words how fantastic she is, but I’ll give it my best shot.

Kelsie rescued us when our first photographer dropped our last minute, stepping in ... to photograph our wedding. Well, they say everything happens for a reason and it couldn’t be truer for us.

Kelsie is nothing short of amazing. Warm, kind, funny and a wizard behind the camera! When the girls and I were getting ready she felt more like a friend, than photographer. My one tip for working with her? Book her now before she’s taken on your date, it’ll be the easiest and best you make for your wedding day!

- Tasha

As a recommended photographer at The Walled Garden at Cowdray, this was my first wedding where the couple paid to go onto the grounds in front of Cowdray Castle.

The Walled Garden at Cowdray Wedding Venue

Tasha and Mark’s August wedding was everything a summer celebration should be—romantic, joyful, and brimming with beautiful moments. From their legal outdoor ceremony in the stunning Walled Garden at Cowdray to their breathtaking photographs in front of the iconic Cowdray ruins, this wedding was an absolute dream to capture.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting The Walled Garden at Cowdray, you’ll know just how magical it is. Tucked within the grounds of Cowdray Estate in West Sussex, this venue is a blend of natural beauty and historic charm.

And for Tasha and Mark, it was the perfect place to say “I do.” The couple held their legal outdoor ceremony here, and it couldn’t have been a better day.

Getting Ready at Cowdray Park Wedding Venue

Tasha and Mark both got ready at Cowdray Estate. Mark in the tree house and Tasha in bridal suite at The Walled Garden. Tasha used Noami Spurr Studio to do her hair, a curly hair specialist I recommended to her. I was delighted Noami was available as it was fairly short notice. Noami is probably the best curly bridal hair specialist in Sussex.

Ceremony at The Walled Garden at Cowdray Estate

T+M had their legal ceremony outside in the walled garden. The floral arch around the pergola was a stunning display of blues, pale pinks and purples.

T+M were all smiles throughout their ceremony. I mean look how cute they are when signing the registrar!

Wedding Breakfast at The Walled Garden

T+M had one of the prettiest wedding breakfast decorations I've seen at the Walled Garden. I loved that blue was their predominant wedding colour, but had touches of other beautiful flowers mixed in.

A Cowdray Ruins Wedding: The Ultimate Photo Opportunity

After their wedding breakfast, T+M dropped the biggest surprise: they had booked to take photographs at Cowdray Ruins! How they forgot to mention it, I'll never know considering Tasha and I both have a love of history and archeology. So to say the both of us were giddy with excitement was an understatement.

Cowdray Ruins are one of the most iconic and photogenic locations in West Sussex. Tasha and Mark had specifically chosen to pay for a photography session here, and I’m so glad they did! The ruins are an incredible backdrop for wedding photos. It was a bit tricky to photograph at that time of day with such long shadows from myself and the large gate. If you're looking to pay to do your wedding photographs in front of Cowdray castle, I'd recommend earlier in the day before the sun moves beyond the castle and creates such harsh shadows - it was really blinding for T+M but they were such troopers!

And as far as Cowdray Ruins wedding photography goes, we still created some serious MAGIC!
