This Cowdray Castle wedding is such an enchanting peek into the world of Cowdray Estate in Midhurst, where love blooms amidst the historic charm of the Walled Garden. In October, under an overcast sky, Harry and Elle exchanged vows in a fairy-tale setting at Cowdray Castle. Where books and quotes from their favourite authors adored the venue, featuring a unique guest book concept that added an extra touch of charm to this unforgettable wedding.

Having photographed a wedding at Cowdray Estate earlier in the year, I’m always amazed at how beautiful this place is no matter the season.

“Thank you for being a part of our wedding with us.

You were truly amazing and remembered so many family names / relations. It took me months to do that for Ellie’s family.

Everyone was singing your praises afterwards.”

A Love Story Set in Stone: Cowdray Castle Wedding

The historic Cowdray Castle provided the perfect backdrop for Harry and Elle’s love story. Nestled within the idyllic Walled Garden, the castle next door exudes romance and charm, making it a dream venue for couples seeking a fairy-tale or English garden wedding. Cowdray Castle weddings honestly create such an unforgettable ambiance for couples like Harry and Elle.

While late autumn can be dreary at many venues, the gardens were still gorgeous at The Walled Garden. Even on an overcast day, the place is magic.

To see the slideshow Harry and Ellie were sent of their wedding day, watch the video below. Otherwise keep scrolling for some of my favourite photographs!

Harry and Elle’s Guest Book was a Unique Touch

I absolutely loved their innovative guest book concept. Each table featured one of the couple’s favourite books, inviting guests to pen their well wishes inside.

Their wedding day was very “them” and I love it so much when couples find such brilliant ways to make their day personal. Have a scroll of my favourite moments:

How Harry and Ellie Met

When Ellie’s tent conspicuously went missing. It was Harry who stayed up with her.

They were friends from secondary school, but it wasn’t till that fateful night that everything changed.

And while some friend groups drift apart over the years, I’d like to think Harry and Ellie will be the glue that will help keep the group of friends together over the coming decades. Because their group of friends is the stuff of TV sitcom legends.

They are truly lucky to have found love in a friend.
