Bury Manor Barn Wedding Photography
Bury Manor Barn is one of those venues that is the perfect blend of rustic charm and refined elegance. This is one of those barn wedding venue ticks all the boxes. Set amidst the rolling hills of West Sussex, Bury Manor Barn offers a beautiful backdrop for capturing every moment of your big day. But my favourite aspect of the venue? It is one of the few church wedding venues in West Sussex with a church in such close proximity. The church is right next door to the barn wedding venue.
Getting Ready at AirBNB for Bury Manor Barn Wedding
Before the ceremony, Jen chose a gorgeous AirBNB near Bury Manor Barn. Jen wanted just a few photographs before leaving for the church, so I arrived right before everyone got changed. That way I could get a few photographs of them in their matching pyjamas.
The conservatory was our favourite spot in the house with gorgeous soft morning light streaming through the windows. But mostly it was my favourite spot because that's where Jen's grandmother was. And that woman was every bit the dotting grandmother.
Church Wedding Venue West Sussex with Barn
Just beside Bury Manor Barn is St. John the Evangelist Church. This is one of the few church wedding venues in West Sussex and I'm not sure any are in such close proximity. This was the reason Jen and Dale fell in love with Bury Manor Barn - it's the only barn wedding venue with a church so close! It truly ticked all the boxes for them.
Jen and Dale wanted to incorporate some of Dale's Scottish culture, so a bagpiper led Jen into the church and escorted the couple to the wedding venue.
Wedding Breakfast at Bury Manor Barn Church Wedding Venue
After the ceremony, we had a very short drinks reception due to the torrential downpour that came out of nowhere. And after that, the celebration moved into Bury Manor Barn for the wedding breakfast.
The barn has a rustic charm with its wooden beams and fairy lights. The barn offers a blank canvas, allowing Jen and Dale to get creative with their wedding decorations.
Bury Manor Barn Wedding Photography Portraits
When it was time for portraits, I had to run out to the car and grab my wellies for Jen! I had grabbed these spur of the moment before leaving, and so glad I did because the grounds were sodden with rain. And Jen and Dale really wanted to head to a specific area for their couple portraits.
Having an engagement session really helped Jen and Dale relax for these portraits. Prompts Dale had been hesitant to do during the session came naturally to him on the wedding day. Which resulted in a lot of laughter because at the engagement session I kept saying: "You have got to trust me! I promise when you see these photographs you'll be eating your words Dale!" I was able to just let them be completely themselves - and all the while having a good laugh.
Bury Manor Barn offers so many stunning locations. Whether it’s stepping outside for a few romantic shots under the barn’s rustic archway or venturing into the surrounding countryside for some fresh air and natural beauty, there are endless opportunities to capture those timeless images that will be cherished for years to come.
Bury Manor Barn Reception in West Sussex
As the evening drew to a close, Bury Manor Barn turned into the perfect venue for a ceilidh. Everyone at the wedding was up and dancing whilst the best man led guests through Scottish ceilidh dances.
