This Brookfield Barn Horsham wedding almost didn’t happen.
Just days before our second lockdown here in the UK, these two amazing humans got married! I cannot express how thankful I am to be writing this blog post (and to have published another for their 2022 wedding at Brookfield Barn).
In the chaos and uncertainty of this year, Vicki and Rob are a beautiful reminder to me and everyone who knows and loves them that love is a truly powerful force.
The old saying goes that marriage isn’t easy, but I’m positive Vick and Rob’s trial by fire this year has ensured they can handle anything – especially the journey into parenthood!
They are pure magic together and the way they light up in each other’s company is something else – I’m convinced no one makes Rob laugh like Vicki does!
Autumn Brookfield Barn wedding photos
Vicki and Rob taught me that even a pandemic can’t put life on hold. All these two wanted was to get married and start a family. They made the decision to start trying after their May wedding at Brookfield Barn was postponed, and were hoping to marry before Vicki started showing a baby bump.
Thankfully that happened. But they literally planned so many different scenarios. We all held our breaths to see which plan would go ahead!
I can’t sugar coat for anyone that it wasn’t a bit stressful, but the joy of the day made it all worth it! In such dark times, it was a blessing to have something to celebrate. The day was extra special because it also marked the 38th anniversary of Rob’s parents.
Below is a little preview of their beautiful, intimate civil ceremony at Brookfield Barn, West Sussex. I just love these Brookfield Barn wedding photos so much!

Brookfield Barn in Horsham wedding vendors
South Lodge and Cisswood House are both great hotels near Brookfield Barn in Horsham. They are just a few miles from Brookfield Barn. And so it wasn’t much of a surprise that Vicki and Rob used these hotels to get ready for their wedding. Vicki opted for getting ready in Bothy cottage at South Lodge. Though she could have easily got ready in the prep room at Brookfield Barn – it’s such a lovely space!
They then headed to Brookfield Barn in Lower Beeding, Horsham to kick off the wedding day celebrations. An outdoor ceremony was originally planned, but with the cold and rain, the wedding ceremony was moved indoors. Brookfield Barn brought a little bit of the outside in though, by opening up the bifold doors, which offer lovely panoramic views.
Vicki and Rob plan to have their 2022 ceremony and wedding breakfast all at Brookfield Barn, but this year opted for a cosy space. The wedding reception was thus at Cisswood House.
Everything from the flowers by Chirpee Flowers to the decor by To have and To Hire was perfection.
Brookfield Barn review
If I could give a Brookfield Barn review, this wedding would sum things up perfectly. Mark and his team truly go above and beyond for their couples. Brookfield Barn does around 105 weddings a year. And through the chaos of 2020 and 2021, they have received nothing but praise from my Brookfield Barn wedding photography clients.
And that’s saying a lot in the year of Covid!
I can’t wait to be back at the Brookfield Barn wedding venue in 2021 and 2022 to document the weddings of my postponed clients.
As one of the more regular Sussex wedding photographers at Brookfield Barn, I truly adore this Horsham Barn wedding venue.
Till next time,
