This Brighton beach surprise proposal happened the first weekend of great weather. So to say Ryan and I were nervous about the crowds is an understatement!
As the top Sussex proposal photographer in West Sussex. I know where Brighton beach is the quiest and the the best times of day. This ensures couples have an incredible and private beach proposal in Brighton. But the beaches can be busy when the weather takes a turn for the best!
Thankfully we had a contingency plan in place - and even more thankfully, we didn't have to use it!

Jumping up and down with excitement, these two had a truly epic proposal
“Now just isn’t the right time - or is it?!” Has to be the one of the cheekiest ways to propose, as it left Gemma in the biggest daze I’ve ever seen. Shaking from the shock and completely dazed!
The crowd went absolutely wild for their proposal but these two were in their own little world. Ryan told me after the yes that I could get nice and close - and Gemma didn’t notice me till Ryan pointed me out. And then the tears hit and the reality of the proposal sunk in and she was a woman on cloud 9.
Ryan is probably one of the most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. It was really evident in stories from when him and Gemma first got together, but also in the ways he planned her perfect proposal. At a place they love, with the leaf detail on the ring, and a reservation at a place she’d once said she would want to go back to when they get engaged.
He’s the kind of person who takes notes on what Gemma says. Because as he told me in his own words: “My favourite thing is her smile and seeing those little cheeks light up when she is smiling. That’s all I ever need to see to make me feel happy.”
