The best wedding venues are in Lewes. You’re honestly pretty spoilt for choice if you are looking to get married here.
If you can’t tell already, I love Lewes. When I first visited my husband’s family before moving over here from the US, Lewes was the first place we visited. I fell in love with the castle, and you can bet I about died when I booked a wedding there. I love being a Lewes wedding photographer, and jump at opportunities to go to this really beautiful corner of the world.
Top 5 wedding venues in Lewes
In no particular order, here are the best wedding venues in Lewes.
1. Firle Place in Lewes
Firle Place is absolutely magical. You’ll be hard pressed to find a prettier venue for your big day. The country estate wedding venue has beautiful grounds, and is a truly impressive house.
2. Pelham House in Lewes
Pelham House has recently undergone some major renovation work. It was a stunning venue before, and now it is truly jaw dropping. The wedding venue is right off the high street in Lewes. From the outside, you wouldn’t realise how massive it is or that it has a beautiful, private garden for you to enjoy on your wedding day. 3. The Anchor Inn in Barcombe near Lewes
The Anchor Inn is on the River Ouse and sits on the very outskirts of Lewes in Barcombe. The best thing about its location is that you and your guests will have access to little blue boats to take out on the river. This wedding venue has permanent marquee around the back.
