Head south down the A24 and the barns get older and the views get bigger.
Storrington, Steyning and Findon are an easy 20 to 30 minutes from Horsham, and this stretch has some of the oldest and most beautiful barns in Sussex.

01 · THE LEGAL BIT
Only venues approved by the council can host the legal ceremony. A few on this list aren't licensed, so you'd marry at Park House first or have a celebrant-led ceremony on the day.
02 · TRAVEL
Horsham has fast trains to London and Gatwick, which helps with guests flying in. Barns down the A24 are easy from the south; the Surrey venues suit guests coming from London.
03 · SETTING UP
Many barns include access the day before. It changes everything if you're doing your own styling, and it means a calmer morning for you.
04 · THE LIGHT
Barns can be dark inside, so big doors, a terrace or an outdoor ceremony make a huge difference to your photos. Ask what time the sun sets behind the trees or the Downs in your month.
